DreamGPT
An AI dream-journal companion designed to feel reflective, private, and useful after the first entry.
Most AI companion apps over-index on novelty. DreamGPT needed a private, emotionally aware interface that could turn dream entries into useful interpretations without feeling clinical or gimmicky.
Bitrupt designed a mobile experience around multi-lens interpretation, privacy controls in the main flow, and a deliberate interaction rhythm that slows users down where reflection matters.
Three decisions, one promise: reflection over novelty.
Interpretation through multiple lenses, not one oracle
Each dream entry can be read through different interpretive lenses — symbolic, emotional, pattern-based — instead of a single authoritative answer. The AI proposes; the user decides what resonates.
Privacy controls in the main flow, not a settings page
What gets stored, analysed or kept device-only is decided in the moment of writing. Trust is designed into the journaling flow itself, because a dream journal only works if it feels safe.
An interaction rhythm that slows you down on purpose
Transitions, typography and pacing are deliberately unhurried where reflection matters. The interface resists the scroll reflex — this is a companion for thinking, not another feed.
A complete AI companion design system, ready for build-out
Privacy decisions surfaced in the writing flow itself
Multi-lens interpretation instead of one-answer AI
Product direction locked in a six-week design sprint
